ESF’s Journey – Five Years On

5 Amazing Years as ESF
As we celebrate our fifth year of trading at ESF this month, we can only hope that we experience a fraction of the success that entrepreneur Richard Branson has achieved in his lifetime. However, as we reflect on our journey, we are very proud of the distance we have travelled in our short five years.
Since launching Environmental Street Furniture in January 2013, our journey to success has been one that, at times, has been challenging, but on the whole, extremely rewarding. We knew that to succeed in this industry, we had to work hard but also offer our customers something different to what was already out there. Never one to shy away from a challenge, we committed ourselves to establishing ESF as a leader in the global market.
Successfully establishing a sustainable platform locally for our first product line, a range of Street Furniture products, in the first two years of trading allowed us to undertake an aggressive export strategy in 2014. Our aim of determining a truly global supply chain that would allow us to sell and source throughout the world, whilst forging and developing partnerships and relationships was within our reach.
The Style Collection
The launch of our ‘Style Collection’ range in 2015, a collection of Street Furniture for the themed experience attraction, paved the way for an introductory meeting with one of the world’s largest theme parks in the US, which was very well received. Following our successful application for vendor qualification, we embarked on a new project to develop a range of products for the theme park and our journey into themed furniture began.
Since then, ESF has presented to many of the world’s major theme parks and has again received relevant approval status that allows us to supply to their resorts and parks globally. One of life’s greater moments is walking around these major theme parks, crowded with visitors from every corner of the world, and seeing our products sitting proud. Still something that I can’t quite believe!
For ESF, the moment of realisation that we had successfully achieved our goal of establishing ourselves globally was when we secured the contract to design and supply the themed site furnishing for the world’s largest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai, our most prestigious contract to date. Having the opportunity to put our mark on what is undoubtedly one of the best indoor theme parks in the world was a fantastic achievement for our team and reinforced our passion and commitment to what we know and do.
The introduction of the Street Charge product, a solar panelled LED charging station, was a step into the unknown for ESF but one that has certainly paid off. Achieving almost immediate success, the Street Charge has become one of our leading export products and has helped establish the brand in 22 different countries across five continents.
In 2017, we decided to go one step further and with the experience we gained to date and through collaboration with local engineering and design companies, we launched our first product, the solar powered, Stellar Bench. This was a fantastic achievement for us at ESF and something that we only imagined during our earlier days at ESF.
Our journey for continued success goes on, and yes we’re very pleased with how far we have come in those five years but we couldn’t do without our many customers, so a heartfelt thank you to those who have helped us along the way.
Like Richard Branson, we are still learning but each day is just amazing!
