On Monday 26th June, ESF CEO Alan Lowry was invited to attended and host a presentation in the most recent Board of Trade meeting. The Board of Trade meets quarterly and brings together leading figures from business, academia and government advisers, representing the business voice from across the UK.
Alan was pleased to share the story of Environmental Street Furniture in front of the board, highlighting his experience exporting high quality furniture to customers around the world, and the board's role in supporting ESF in his export journey.
The meeting included many high profile individuals and was chaired by Kemi Badenoch with representation from many Department for Business and Trade officials and government ministers including influential figures such as the Mayor of London.
Alan used this excellent opportunity to inform the board about the remarkable businesses thriving in Northern Ireland and the esteemed FSB Northern Ireland who Alan had the privilege of representing as the NI policy chair.
This opportunity also enabled Alan to explain his role as an NI Export Champion in a broader perspective, discussing how it can be possible to best assist local businesses in their international sales endeavours.
The board showed genuine interest and engagement, and gave the ESF CEO a warm reception that made the experience thoroughly enjoyable.
