Environmental Street furniture (ESF) Ltd, the award-winning designer and supplier of street furniture from Newtownabbey Co Antrim, recently completed their third major HVM (hostile vehicle mitigation) security project in Dubai, UAE with support from the local Invest NI office.

ESF, best known for their innovation and design in outdoor furniture, have developed their HVM security range to offer unparalleled protection and safety to public and assets globally. ESF currently exports to 27 countries and growing.

Working with their local UAE partners, Tanseeq, ESF designed and supplied the RTA (Road Traffic Authority) of Dubai with forty bollards for three metro stations. The bollards, tested and certified to UK standard, PAS68 K12 ratings, are designed to withstand a vehicle of 7.5 tonnes travelling at up to 50mph.
